Promote Your Org at Org Fair!

The Student Organization Fair is a time for students to meet like-minded people and join an organization that interests them. This year's Organization Fair will take place on Thursday, September 5th from 3pm - 6pm in both LBJ Student Center Ballrooms.

 

 

Student Organization Fair - FAQs

  • Organization Arrival

    • Organizations check-in is from 2:30 - 2:45. 

      Organizations are expected to be there by 2:45 to allow time for the organization to have their booth set up properly.

    • - Your ID

      - Your confirmation email

      - Your booth setup (i.e. trifold, sign-up sheet, promo items, org handouts, tablecloth, etc.)

      - Org members/exec. that are ready to talk about your organization

  • Refunds

    • We allow refunds provided your organization informs Student Involvement of your withdrawal by the registration date of August 23rd at 12:00 pm. 

      After that point, there will be no refunds for Org Fair registrations.

    • Just email getinvolved@txstate.edu. Once your organization has withdrawn from the org fair, you may not reregister so please be sure of your decision.

    • No-show organizations will be subject to a $15 empty-table fee. 

      Every empty table is a spot that we could have used for another organization or another activity in the Ballroom, space is valuable and we discourage signing up for the org fair without the intention of attending.

  • Org Fair Expectations

    • Organizations are provided with a table, two chairs, and a hole puncher (attendee punchcards).

      If any of these items are not returned at the end of the event orgs may be charged for the missing item.

    • Organizations are not allowed to attach any items to walls or ceilings. 

      Items prohibited by LBJ Student Center

      - glitter

      - confetti

      - rice

      - birdseed

      - hay

      - red soda

      - red punch

      - fog machines

    • Organizations are expected to arrive by 3:45 and have at least one student at their booth for the entirety of the fair. Should your organization have reason to leave early, staff should be notified 72 hours prior to the event.
