Reminder:
The purpose of this Keycard Access Request Form is to provide optimal physical security and safety for the VATS Lounge located in the LBJ Student Center Suite 4-13.3.

This is a keycard access request form. Submission of this form does not grant you automatically approved access. All requests are reviewed and may or may not be approved.

Student Involvement & Engagement (SIE) facilitates the submission of user requests via the Facilities Management's ReADY system. All requestors must be currently enrolled students at and in good standing with Texas State University.

Completion Time for Requests
All requests will be reviewed and completed within 48 hours of date of submission and during normal business hours.

Hours of Operations and Closures

Hours of Operation
Key card access to the VATS Lounge will be provided during LBJ Student Center normal business hours. 

•    Monday to Thursday: 7:00 AM – 12:00 AM
•    Friday: 7:00 AM – 11:00 PM 
•    Saturday: 9:00 AM – 10:00 PM
•    Sunday: 10:00 AM – 10:00 PM
 

Closures for Holidays and Energy Conservation 
Access may be limited during University Holiday Schedule.

•    Labor Day: September 4, 2023
•    Thanksgiving: November 23 - 24, 2023
•    Winter Break: December 20, 2023 - January 1, 2024 
•    Martin Luther King, Jr. Day: January 15, 2024
•    Spring Break: March 11 - 15, 2024
•    Memorial Day: May 27, 2024
•    Juneteenth (Emancipation Day): June 19, 2024
•    Independence Day: July 4, 2024

Keycard Access Responsibility

I understand that I am responsible for maintaining VATS Lounge suite security and reporting issues to Student Involvement & Engagement at getinvolved@txstate.edu in a timely manner. *
I understand that I must tap my Texas State University ID Card on the keypad to document my entry into the VATS Lounge. *
I understand that I cannot loan or transfer my Texas State University ID Card to any other individual. *
I understand that I will not unlock the VATS Lounge for another individual or group and then exit the suite *
I understand that I am responsible for ensuring that guests who did not unlock the suite door sign in on the paper sign-in sheet. *
I understand that I am responsible for asking students without VATS Lounge access to exit the suite. *
I understand that I am responsible for closing the suite door and ensuring it is locked upon my departure from the VATS Lounge. *
I will not prop the VATS Lounge suite door to remain open. *
I will make a good-faith effort to keep the VATS Lounge suite clean and organized. *
For example: fall 2023, spring 2024, summer 2024, etc. Only current students can access to Lounge.
