Each year, Student Involvement partners with The LBJ Presidential Library and Museum to commemorate the signing of the 1965 Higher Education Act by President Lyndon Baines Johnson. Texas State sends 25 student leaders to serve as campus delegates and engage in activities and discussions with experts on the life and legacy of President Johnson and the various initiatives that he championed, including the Higher Education Act.

Why Should You Attend?
President Lyndon B. Johnson, one of the most distinguished graduates of Texas State University, serves as an example of how one's impact can be influential in creating change for the well-being of others. We believe that the opportunity for our students to listen and connect with leaders who have worked with and were inspired by the former president can have a profound impact on their own leadership journeys. Students will also be able to tour the LBJ Library to view the legacy, life, and impact of President Lyndon B. Johnson.
