Learning Bridge Tutor
Learning Bridge screens and trains community volunteers to tutor kids in foster care. Volunteers do not have to be educators – just committed adults who will show up each week for a student. Tutors assist students with homework or work with students on subjects that are challenging to them. The program serves students in K-12th grade in Travis, Hays, Williamson, Bastrop, and Bell counties of Texas and is free to foster and kinship families.
Tutors must be 20 years old and pass a background check. There is 2 hours of virtual training required before beginning. We ask for a commitment to tutor for the remainder of the school year once matched with a child.
To apply, please complete the application linked here.
